  Take your fishing rods or hand lines and catch yourself some dinner! Agnes Water/1770 Bait & Tackle, Round Hill Road opposite the Medical Centre For all your bait, tackle and camping gear (07) 4974 9304. Enjoy some of the best fishing on the East Coast of Australia. Rock fishing, surf fishing, estuary and reef fishing available either privately or through commercial operators.
  Check out our beaches – south of Agnes beach and over the headland you will discover miles of secluded golden beaches, interesting little rock pools and some great camping spots! Watch the sunset from the 1770 headland – one of the few places that you can see a sunset over the water on the East Coast of QLD.
  Go for a surf on Queensland’s most northern surf beach
  Lots of great tracks through Eurimbula, Deepwater and Round Hill National Parks.
  Take a walk and spot one of the rare and endangered Loggerhead Turtles that call our beaches home – nov – March
  4WD – extensive self drive tracks exploring coastal sub tropical rainforests, hinterland
  Bring along your canoe or kayak to explore the extensive waterways surrounding the Town of 1770/ Agnes Water – if you do not have your own see our tour page for information on hiring.

WALKING TRACKS

  1770 Headland and Lookouts – from the parking area at 1770 Headland to and from the lookouts approximately 15 minute easy walk.
  Agnes Water Beach – is 6 kilometres long, great for walking at low tide. Enter via the foot bridge near the parking area at Tom Jeffery Park at Agnes Street.
  Discovery Trail – Park your vehicle at the Community Centre, which is located at the rear of the Museum on Springs Road, Agnes Water, which is 1 kilometre from the Endeavour Shopping Centre. Lock your vehicles and take your valuables with you. The Discovery Trail map is located in the Parking area at the Museum. The trail meanders through bush to the Lookout and takes approximately 25 minutes round trip. The lookout overlooks Agnes Water Beach and Workman’s Beach
 Red Rock Trail
– is located south of Agnes Water. A reasonable level of fitness is required for this track as there are some steep inclines. Take water with you. Follow Springs Road travelling south for 3.2 kilometres enter the sandy track on the left, which is opposite the Reedy Creek Reserve sign. Follow the track for 800 metres and park near the trees. Lock your vehicle and take your valuables with you. The walking track consists of a boardwalk, sand, beach and stepping stones. The beaches and the scenery are superb! You may even sight turtles and a dolphin or two. The track is to the right as you enter the beach and to Red Rock will take a good hour of walking or several hours if you wish to stop, view the scenery or take a swim. Two housing estates Rocky Point and Sunrise at 1770 are located in this area. There are signs that indicate “Private Property” – entry is not permitted…. please respect people’s privacy
